Dog Eat Dog @ la Machine du Moulin-Rouge, Paris - October 4th, 2024

Dog Eat Dog is touring in support of their latest album "Free Radicals" as well as celebrating 30 years of "All Boro Kings", but surely that can't be right... If that were true, that would put us in our late forties, and we'd be sporting gray hair and a beer gut. Oh, wait...

The sands of time stop for no one, and nothing is carved in stone: we all have a little less hair and a little more wrinkles and we're losing people; similarly Dog Eat Dog's membership has evolved over the years: founding guitarist Sean Kilkenny died a few years ago, their usual touring sax player had to leave the tour to get brain surgery (thankfully, he's out of the woods) and even the hardcore fans in the mosh pit are noticeably less spry than they used to be.

But one thing's for sure: we may all be a little bit older, but the energy, both on stage and in the pit, is still off the hook. Let's not kid ourselves, it's gonna hurt tomorrow. We'll all be hoarse and our bodies will ache. But we'll all have this experience under our belt: we all went to a kick-ass show, full of kick-ass tunes, and the good vibes will stay with us long after the bruises fade.

Some bands have an agenda. Some bands have a lifestyle to sell you. Some bands just don't give two shits about you. But Dog Eat Dog? They kick this just for fun.
