Walter Trout @ Alhambra, Paris - April 30th, 2024

Blues-Rock legend Walter Trout returned to Paris in support of his stellar new album "Broken," just under a year since his last sold-out performance in the city of lights. The Parisian crowd clearly can't get enough of him!

Gaëlle Buswel @ Alhambra, Paris - April 30th, 2024

Gaëlle Buswel is the go-to artist whenever you need an opener for a blues-rock or classic rock act coming through France. We've lost count of how many times we've seen her play a support set over the years. In this instance, she played a 20-minute slot in an acoustic duo format, accompanied by guitarist Sylvain Laforge.

Slash feat. Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators @ Zénith, Paris - April 29th, 2024

This is the last night of the European tour for Slash feat. Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators and the Zénith arena is absolutely packed to the rafters with rock fans hungry for some serious riffage. Of course, Slash was last in town nine months ago with Guns N' Roses but the Conspirators (which haven't rolled through Paris in five years) are a different thing altogether. This is clearly Slash's band:  no piano ballads (well, maybe just one...), no 12-minute epics, just pure, driving no-frills hard rock, served piping hot.

Mammoth WVH @ Zénith, Paris - April 29th, 2024

Seems like Wolfie and his gang are everywhere …these days… They've secured prestigious opening slots, sharing stages with giants like Alter Bridge, Metallica, Guns N' Roses, and Foo Fighters. Their music seamlessly blends heavy riffs with melodic hooks, bridging the gap between metal and alternative genres while paying homage to rock tradition. While Wolfie's lineage might hint at Van Halen nostalgia, Mammoth WVH stands on its own with a sound that's fresh and compelling.

Courte Grill & the Buffalo Pailles @ Le Sub Pigalle, Paris - April 27th, 2024

If you haven't toured around France and found yourself stopping at run-down rest stops near sketchy highway exits, you could be forgiven for missing the clever twist in this band's name. Thankfully, their music is a lot more accessible, and certainly more inviting than the restaurants they are named after: Courte Grill and the Buffalo Pailles serve up country tunes in a way that is at once earnest and tongue-in-cheek. There is a reverence for the form, but there is also a meta element to it, which is obvious in their choice of cover material.

Justyna Kelley @ Le Sub Pigalle, Paris - April 27th, 2024

Justyna Kelley hails from Nashville and plays an exquisite blend of country and folk, enriched by her mesmerizing vocals and poignant lyrics. Accompanied by Carlton Moody of the Moody Brothers on guitar and backing vocals, and Gilles Michel on bass, Kelley's pure voice and genuine stage presence created an intimate connection with the audience, making every moment memorable.

Fishbone drama

It sounds like this was brewing for quite a while, but this news item has blindsided the Fishbone fandom: Norwood Fisher, "Dirty" Walt Kibby and John Steward have apparently been dismissed from the band...

Simple Minds @ Zénith, Paris - April 18th, 2024

Boasting one of the most unassailable catalogues in pop and nearly two years after their last triumphant date in the French capital (well, Boulogne-Billancourt to be precise...), Simple Minds are returning to the Paris Zénith where they recorded their seminal live album In The City Of Lights back in 1986.

Del Amitri @ Zénith, Paris - April 18th, 2024

Nearly four decades since their debut album dropped and almost thirty years since they last played in the City of Lights (well, Ris Orangis, close enough), Del Amitri returned to Paris in support of Simple Minds' Global Tour. Unfortunately, a sizable portion of the audience didn't bother showing up for the opening act: it's their loss. For the ones that did show up, Del Amitri's set was quite the treat, like seeing a long-lost friend.

Cymande @ le Trianon, Paris - April 17th, 2024

Decades of reverence and an almost mythical status in the Funk genre preceded Cymande's resurgence onto the music scene. After a hiatus of a decade, during which their sampled tracks became foundational for hip-hop, the band regrouped a decade ago. Their recent stop at the packed Trianon theater in Paris' Red Light district was a testament to their enduring appeal.

Now that the Guns N' Roses tour has come to an end, its members (well, not Axl...) are keeping busy with their own side projects. Simple Minds @ Zénith - April 18, 2024

In celebration of the release of "New Gold Dream Live from Paisley Abbey," Simple Minds are embarking on a highly anticipated tour, promising fans an unforgettable live experience. The tour will see the band performing in renowned venues across the globe, including a date at the Zénith in Paris on April 18, 2024. Tickets for that show can be found HEREHaving last caught up with the band a year and a half ago in Boulogne-Billancourt, where they delivered an absolutely electric performance, we're eagerly anticipating another evening of phenomenal musicianship and unforgettable, timeless anthems."

Our man Slash is keeping busy. He's just finished the Guns N' Roses 2023 tour with two shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and a headlining set at Hell & Heaven Festival in Guadalajara, Mexico last November, before hitting the road again with his solo band featuring Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators in January. The tour will start in Mexico City on January 23rd and end in Paris on April 29th. We will of course be at the tour closer to report and bring you some photos from the show. Support for all dates will be from none other than Mammoth WVH.

Less than a year after his last concert in the City of Lights, Blues rocker Walter Trout is coming back to Paris at the intimate Alhambra theater in support of his latest album Broken.

Hot off the heels of a typically killer album Happiness Bastards, will bring their new tour at the Paris Olympia on May 24th. If it's anything like their last concert in the same venue in October 2022, it's going to be an unforgettable evening of Southern Rock n' Roll!

Eric Clapton has announced two shows at the Paris Accor Arena on May 26 and 27 of next year. These will be the legendary guitarist's first Paris dates in almost exactly fourteen years when he played the very same venue with Steve Winwood on May 25th, 2010 (the private corporate gig he did a few years ago doesn't count...) so we're excited to see one of our favorite musicians on stage again. He has been very controversial lately because of his positions on the COVID vaccine, and his association with some more than unsavory characters... But on stage, with a guitar in his hands, he will put politics and other personal considerations to the side and let the music do the talking. And on that front, he has very few equals. Both concerts are very close to being sold out so don't wait to get your tickets!

If you've been reading this page for a while, you'll know that Alice Cooper is one of our very favorite artists. We've seen him live over a dozen times (including last summer with The Hollywood Vampires) and we've even flown to California to catch his act. Dubbed "Too Close For Comfort", this trek features the return, in updated form, of the magic screen that he's helped pioneer on his "Welcome To My Nightmare" tour and concert film. You can get tickets for the Paris date HERE.
