The wait is over... The Cure release their new single "Alone"

Today the wait is over: The Cure finally released "Alone", the first single off of their new record "Songs of a Lost World" due out on November 1st. The song is familiar to fans as it was played live, along with other upcoming songs, during several Cure shows over the past couple of years but this is the first taste that the record-buying (or streaming) public will get of the new album and the first new Cure studio track in a generation. When their last album "4:13 Dreams" came out in October 2008, George W. Bush was still President of the United States, the iPhone and Facebook had been around for merely a year, while Spotify was just being launched, the Star Wars movie franchise wouldn't be revived for another seven years, Michael Jackson was still alive and pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo was five years old. It was an entirely different world by any metric.

You can listen to the new song in the embedded Apple Music or YouTube players below. Make sure to swing by our socials to let us know what you think of the tune.
