Bones Owens' name might evoke an old-time country singer/songwriter, and while there's a hint of that in his roots, his sound leans far more into muscular blues riffs and a powerful rhythm section. Think less twang and more White Stripes or the heavier side of North Mississippi All Stars, all delivered in the raw, gritty form of a ‘60s/’70s-style power trio. And that’s a very good thing.
