Last night at Trabendo, Winter, fronted by singer, guitarist, and songwriter Samira Winter played a short set opening for Beach Fossils at the Trabendo in Paris and its blend of shoegaze and dream pop set the perfect tone for the night ahead.
Drawing heavily from Their latest record "What Kind Of Blue Are You?" released almost two years ago on Bar/None records, the band delivered a dynamic performance made of light and shade, tension and release, which undoubtedly garnered them new fans amongst the crowd of Beach Fossils fans. The ethereal melodies intertwined seamlessly with the hauntingly noisy guitars, all held together by a punchy rhythm section. Haunting and mercurial, the music also rocked hard in all the right places. Winter is a band to follow, and will hopefully return to our shores soon, in a headlining capacity.
