Beach Fossils made a triumphant return to France for the first time since 2017 (and their first headlining show in Paris since 2013!) and the crowd at the sold-out Trabendo was buzzing with anticipation. Kicking off their set with a subtle yet captivating piece from their latest album "Bunny," the band gradually ramped up the energy, delivering an electrifying performance that left the audience in a state of rock n' roll euphoria.
Lead singer and guitarist Dustin Payseur commanded the stage with his magnetic presence, reminiscent of a young Bob Dylan infused with the charisma of Johnny Borrell. Alongside guitarist Tommy Davidson, who added to the ambiance with his witty banter and engaging anecdotes between songs, they created an atmosphere that was both intimate and exhilarating.
Drawing from their diverse discography, including tracks from ""Somersault" and their self-titled debut, Beach Fossils showcased their unique blend of nervy pop and muscular rock. Their sound, echoing influences ranging from The Cure and Television to New Order and The Strokes, captivated the audience and kept them hooked until the very last note.
Despite the cold rain outside, nothing could dampen the spirits inside the venue as Beach Fossils delivered a sensational performance, energetic and infectious. Nearly fifteen years after their debut, they proved once again why they are a force to be reckoned with in the indie music scene.
