Sanguisugabogg @ Petit Bain, Paris - January 27th, 2024

Sanguisugabogg's performance in support of the mighty Suffocation was a relentless onslaught of pure brutality. I've witnessed my fair share of extreme Metal shows, but few could match the ferocious energy unleashed both on stage and in the pit.

Sanguisugabogg's lethal fusion of Death Metal and Hardcore ignited an uncontrollable frenzy within the crowd, a chaotic dance that miraculously never spiraled out of control. Despite the absence of a bass player, the dual seven-string guitars plunged the audience into a sonic abyss of low-end frequencies.

The drummer's masterful incorporation of electronic kick drums pushed the boundaries of speed and aggression, creating a sonic hurricane that engulfed the venue. The vocalist commanded the stage with the presence of a seasoned veteran, a remarkable feat considering the band was formed less than five years ago.

With a discography boasting two studio records, a live album, and an EP, Sanguisugabogg are now a force to be reckoned with. Keep your eyes on them; they might just be the harbingers of the future of Extreme Metal.
