American Rap superstar Macklemore played the first of two sold-out shows in Paris in support of his latest album Ben last night at the Zénith in front of a crowd of 6000 people.
Backed up by an armada of singers, dancers, horns, drummers and keyboardists, the Seattleite set fire to the small arena for 90 minutes of a high energy show which featured fire, squirt guns, and a lot of dancing, both on stage and in the audience.
A vibrant communion between an artist and an audience that came here to party but ended up getting something more. This is the power of live music at work.
