At the risk of coming off as hyperbolic, I will say that Jason Isbell is one of the greatest American songwriters ever. He's up there with Bob Dylan, Janis Ian, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, Gene Clark, or Burt Bacharach. So whenever he releases a song should be treated as an event. Today, one month after Death Wish, we get another preview from his upcoming album Weathervanes, due out on June 9th.
