This Friday's playlist is a quick overview of bands that brought the traditional celt heritage into rock music. Some of them, like the Chieftains, actually contain very little to no rock instrumentation and are purely traditional musicians, but they were very important to the form which is why they're included here.
There are many more examples we could have included, but we felt those were the more representative of the genre. Have we missed an obvious one? Let us know in the comments.
