Ayron Jones' music isn't easily categorizable: alternative rock, blues, hard rock... His major label debut Child of the State is one of this year's best releases and landed him the opening slot for The Rolling Stones U.S. tour this past fall.
Accompanied by a bassist, another guitarist and a drummer, Jones' soulful vocals and intense guitar work are the focal points of the show. His dynamic compositions rock hard but never at the expense of melody or groove. A few nods to some fellow Seattleites like Jimi Hendrix and Nirvana, and a beautiful cathartic finale with Price's Purple Rain.
