On what would have been Chuck Berry's 93rd birthday, we pay tribute to one of the pioneers of Rock and Roll with a playlist of some of his most famous songs as performed by some other great artists.
Of course, everyone is indebted to Chuck Berry. Elvis, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, but even artists who are less obvious and who may not realise it themselves, from electronica to death metal: everyone has a little Chuck Berry in them. This playlist is an illustration of that.
I've tried to limit double entries to a minimum, but even then it was unavoidable: some songs are present numerous times, but hopefully in versions that are different enough so as not to be a bore.
