The Rolling Stones cancel their American tour...

The Rolling Stones have cancelled their upcoming tour because Mick Jagger is getting heart surgery.

The revelation is that Mick Jagger has a heart. The other revelation is that he's human after all.

The man is 75. He's a great-grandfather. He has lived more lives than you, me or almost everyone else on this God-forsaken planet. He has literally changed the world. But he's mortal. And despite the jokes, so is Keith. And it's getting nearer to the end.

Sooner than later, we will be living in a world where the Rolling Stones do not exist. Hard to fathom, isn't it? It hasn't happened in my lifetime. But yet, within the next few years, time will do its thing.

I actually wish Mick or Keith will go first, because when they do you know it'll be the end of the Stones. If Charlie dies first, they will replace him with Steve Jordan and keep going. And I don't want to live in a world where the Rolling Stones exist without Charlie.

No one's getting any younger. Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard are the last of the original rock and roll pioneers. Dylan, McCartney and Townshend are next for the hole in the ground.

Go see you favourite artists in concert when they come near your neck of the woods. Don't think "meh, I'll catch them on their next tour". There might not be a next one.
