This Irish hard rock band has been touring and recording non-stop for a decade and a half. I first say them opening for AC/DC back in 2008 and I saw them as recently as last summer when they opened for Whitesnake.
They are headlining tonight, promoting their new album Solas, which would constitute the bulk of their setlist: 9 songs out of the 14 they played. Only 2 songs from Solas were omitted. On the other hand, only one song from their debut Come Follow Me was included.
The band was great but the crowd didn't respond as well as they should have, probably because of the lack of more familiar material. It's a shame, because their new songs are just as good.
They stick to the Led Zeppelin-influenced formula they're known for, so no surprise there. Just a solid set from a good hard rock band. They're not claiming to reinvent the wheel, but at least hey keep it in motion.
