Finally Tom Petty is back in the French capital. It's been twenty years I think since he last came around, back when he was touring behind Into The Great Wide Open, so his return was highly anticipated. This was my first time seeing the Heartbreakers in concert and I couldn't have hoped for a better baptism.
They played most of their hits and classics, starting with Listen To There Heart. Sadly excluded was Wildflowers from Tom's solo career, but the highlight was a re-arranged Learning To Fly.
A wonderful evening with an American treasure who promised it won't be so long next time he comes to our shores. Let's hope it's true!
